Lipps, Inc. - Funkytown
Lipps, Inc. (pronounced “lip sync”) was formed in 1977. The group was created by Steven Greenberg who produced and wrote all
their songs, and the lead vocalist Cynthia Johnson who was Miss Black Minnesota in 1976. The other members were Terry Grant, David
Rivkin, Tom Riopelle and Ivan Rafowitz. Their first and last hit was the classic "Funkytown", in 1979. It's one of the most
successful and widely known Disco songs of all time.

Gotta make a move to a
Town that's right for me
Town to keep me movin'
Keep me groovin' with some energy
Well, I talk about it
Talk
about it
Talk about it
Talk about it
Talk about, Talk about
Talk about movin'
Gotta move on
Gotta move on
Gotta move on
Won't
you take me to Funkytown
Won't you take me to Funkytown
Won't you take me to Funkytown
Won't you take me to Funkytown
Gotta make
a move to a
Town that's right for me
Town to keep me movin'
Keep me groovin' with some energy
Well, I talk about it
Talk about it
Talk
about it
Talk about it
Talk about, Talk about
Talk about movin'
Gotta move on
Gotta move on
Gotta move on
Won't you take me to
Funkytown
Won't you take me to Funkytown
Won't you take me to Funkytown
